Did you perform the Lighting System Diagnostic System Check?

Go to Step 2

  1. Turn the headlamp switch to the ON position.
  2. Turn the headlamp switch to the ON and then to the OFF position

Do the high and the low beam headlamps turn on and off?

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems

Go to Step 3

  1. Disconnect connector C209.
  2. Using a test lamp at C209, probe between the headlamp battery positive voltage input circuit and ground.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Go to Step 4

Go to Step 5

Inspect the multifunction turn signal lever harness connector C209 for a poor connection. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you find and correct the condition?

Go to Step 7

Go to Step 6

Repair a open or high resistance in the headlamp battery positive voltage input circuit. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you complete the repair?

Go to Step 7

Replace the multifunction turn signal lever. Refer to Multifunction Turn Signal Lever Replacement - On Vehicle in Steering Wheel and Column - Tilt.

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.
