km/h and MPH Indicator Inoperative

  1. Turn ON the ignition switch.
  2. Using a scan tool, attempt to establish communications with the IPC.

Does the scan tool communicate with the IPC?

Go to Diagnostic System Check - Instrument Cluster

Is a DTC B1532 stored in the IPC?

--

Go to the Applicable Table

Go to Step 4

Press and release the E/M button on the RH DIC switch to toggle between English and Metric display.

Does the km/h and MPH indicator turn ON and OFF?

--

System OK

Go to Step 5

Using a scan tool, select IPC special functions and turn ON and OFF the km/h and MPH indicator.

Does the km/h and MPH indicator turn ON and OFF?

--

Go to Step 6

Go to Step 8

Check for an open in the RH DIC switch harness, between the DIC switch and the IPC.

Was a problem found and repaired?

--

Go to Step 10

Go to Step 7

Replace the RH DIC switch assembly. Refer to Driver Information Display Switch Replacement .

Is the replacement complete?

Go to Step 10

Check the km/h and MPH indicator bulb for an open. Refer to Instrument Cluster Indicator Lamp Replacement .

Was a problem found and repaired?

Go to Step 10

Replace the IPC assembly. Refer to Instrument Cluster Replacement .

Is the replacement complete?

Go to Step 10

  1. Turn OFF the ignition switch.
  2. Reconnect or install any connectors or components that were disconnected or removed.
  3. Turn ON the ignition switch.

Is the repair complete?
