Check Gages Indicator Inoperative

Go to Step 2

Go to Indicator System Check

  1. Turn ON the ignition switch.
  2. Using a scan tool, attempt to establish communications with the IPC.

Does the scan tool communicate with the IPC?

--

Go to Step 3

Go to Diagnostic System Check - Instrument Cluster

  1. Engine idling at normal operating conditions.
  2. Observe the following gauges:
  3. • Fuel
    • Oil Pressure
    • Coolant Temperature
    • Voltage

Are all of the gauges functioning properly and are not within the red zone?

Go to Step 4

Go to Gauge System Check

Using a scan tool, select IPC special functions and turn ON and OFF the CHECK GAGES indicator.

Does the CHECK GAGES indicator turn ON and OFF?

--

System OK

Go to Step 5

Check the CHECK GAGES indicator bulb for an open. Refer to Instrument Cluster Indicator Lamp Replacement .

Was a problem found and repaired?

--

Go to Step 7

Go to Step 6

Replace the IPC assembly. Refer to Instrument Cluster Replacement .

Is the replacement complete?

--

Go to Step 7

  1. Turn OFF the ignition switch.
  2. Reconnect or install any connectors or components that were disconnected or removed.
  3. Turn ON the ignition switch.

Is the repair complete?

--
