  1. Remove the door switch and disconnect the switch connector.
  2. Connect a test light between,
  3. • LH door switch connector terminals 21 and 22.
    • RH door switch connector terminals 1 and 2.
  4. Cover the ambient light sensor on the RH DIC.
  5. Doors and hatch/trunk lid closed, allow approximately 30 seconds for the courtesy lamps to turn off.
  6. Turn the parking lamp switch on.
  7. Turn the interior lamp dimmer switch to the full bright position.

Does the test light illuminate bright?

--

    • LH door switch connector terminal 22 to ground.
    • RH door switch connector terminal 2 to ground.

Does the test light illuminate bright?

  1. Disconnect the DCM connector C4.
  2. Connect a DMM from the DCM connector C4 terminal 21 to the,
  3. • LH door switch connector terminal 21.
    • RH door switch connector terminal 1.
  4. Measure the resistance of circuit 157.

Is the resistance within specified values?

0-2 ohms

  1. Remove the HVAC control head and disconnect connector C1. Refer to Control Assembly Replacement in HVAC Manual, or Control Assembly Replacement in HVAC Automatic.
  2. Connect a test light between connector C1,
  3. • terminals J and K. (C60)
    • terminals C1 and C16. (CJ2)
  4. Cover the ambient light sensor on the RH DIC.
  5. Doors and hatch/trunk lid closed, allow approximately 30 seconds for the courtesy lamps to turn off.
  6. Turn the parking lamp switch on.
  7. Turn the interior lamp dimmer switch to the full bright position.

Does the test light illuminate bright?

Connect the test light from the HVAC control head connector C1,

    • terminal J to ground. (C60)
    • terminal C16 to ground. (CJ2)

  1. Disconnect the BCM connector C3.
  2. Connect a DMM from the BCM connector C3 terminal B2 to the HVAC connector C1,
  3. • terminal J. (C60)
    • terminal C16. (CJ2)
  4. Measure the resistance of circuit 390.

Is the resistance within specified values?

0-2 ohms

  2. Connect a test light between terminals A and B.
  3. Cover the ambient light sensor on the RH DIC.
  4. Doors and hatch/trunk lid closed, allow approximately 30 seconds for the courtesy lamps to turn off.
  5. Turn the parking lamp switch on.
  6. Turn the interior lamp dimmer switch to the full bright position.

Does the test light illuminate bright?

Connect the test light from the BTSI control solenoid 4 pin connector terminal A to ground.

Does the test light illuminate bright?

  1. Disconnect the BCM connector C3.
  2. Connect a DMM from the BTSI control solenoid 4 pin connector terminal B, to the BCM connector C3 terminal B6.
  3. Measure the resistance of circuit 8.

  5. Turn the parking lamp switch on.
  6. Turn the interior lamp dimmer switch to the full bright position.

Does the test light illuminate bright?
