Headlight Doors Do Not Open

Has the Headlight Doors System Check been performed?

Go to Step 2

  1. Turn the ignition switch off.
  2. Turn the headlamp switch on.

Do the headlamps illuminate?

--

Go to Step 3

Go to Low and High Beams Headlamps Inoperative

  1. Install a scan tool and go to the IPC input display.
  2. Monitor the headlamp switch status.
  3. Turn the headlamps on and off.

Does the scan tool indicate the headlamp switch on and off?

--

Go to Step 4

  1. Disconnect the headlamp opening door actuator control module connector C1.
  2. Connect a DMM from connector C1 terminal D to ground.
  3. Measure resistance to ground of circuit 150.

Is resistance within the specified values?

0-2 ohms

Go to Step 5

  1. Connect a test light from the headlamp opening door actuator control module connector C1 terminal A to ground.
  2. Turn the headlamp switch on.

Does the test light illuminate?

Go to Headlamp Doors Inoperative - One Door

Repair the open or high resistance in circuit 103, between the instrument panel electrical center and the underhood electrical center.

Is the repair complete?

Repair the open or high resistance in circuit 150.

Is the repair complete?

Repair the open or high resistance in circuit 103, between the underhood electrical center and the headlamp opening door actuator control module connector.
