  1. Remove the HDLP MaxiCircuit Breaker #54.
  2. Disconnect connector C209.
  3. Using a DMM measure the resistance to ground of circuit 842, from the harness side connector C209 terminal W to ground.

Is the resistance within specified values?

Infinite

Go to Step 3

Go to Step 10

  1. Connect a DMM from the HDLP MaxiCircuit Breaker #54 terminal in the instrument panel electrical center, to connector C209 terminal W.
  2. Measure the resistance of circuit 842.

Is the resistance within specified values?

0-2 ohms

Go to Step 4

Go to Step 10

Measure continuity of the HDLP MaxiCircuit Breaker #54.

Is the circuit breaker open?

Go to Step 6

Go to Step 5

Reinstall the HDLP MaxiCircuit Breaker #54 in the instrument panel electrical center.

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to Step 7

Install a new 20 A MaxiCircuit Breaker in the HDLP #54 location in the instrument panel electrical center.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 7

Connect a fused jumper wire in the harness side connector C209 terminals W to L.

Do the low beam headlamps illuminate?

--

Go to Step 12

Connect a fused jumper wire in the harness side connector C209 terminals W to K.

Do the high beam headlamps illuminate?

Go to Step 11

Replace the headlamp switch. Refer to Multifunction Turn Signal Lever Replacement - On Vehicle .

Is the repair complete?

Repair the open or short to ground in circuit 842.

Is the repair complete?

Repair the open or short to ground in circuit 11.

Is the repair complete.
