Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 71215 Size: SH
  1. Remove the seat. Refer to Seat Replacement - Power with Adjuster or Manual Seat Replacement .

    2. Object Number: 71223 Size: SH
  2. Remove the recliner handle.
    3. 2.1. With a suitable blunt ended tool inserted between the cushion and the handle push the handle retaining spring clip down.
    2.2. Pull the handle from the shaft.

  3. Remove the side trim panel (sport seat). Refer to Front Seat Trim Panel Replacement .

    4. Object Number: 172298 Size: SH
  4. Remove the hog rings from the rear flap.

    5. Object Number: 172293 Size: SH
  5. Raise the flap.
  6. Unfasten the draw string.
  7. Remove the hogrings attaching the rear corners of the seat cushion trim cover.
  8. Remove the cover.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 171527 Size: SH
  1. Check the recliner mechanism retention clips at the actuators.
    2. 1.1. If the clips are white make sure the clip tabs are snapped securely in position.
    1.2. If the clips are black make sure the clip tabs are snapped securely in position and secure the clip tabs to the actuators with tie straps.

  2. If the draw string was Not cut in the removal of the seat cushion cover skip to step 2. If the draw string was cut to assist in removing a non movable seat perform steps 1.1 through 1.5.
    3. 2.1. Remove the hog rings attaching the seat cushion cover rear flap.
    2.2. Untie the draw string.
    2.3. Make a very small cut 100 mm (2 in) each side of the cushion cover just in front of where the draw string receded to when the draw string was cut.
    2.4. Pull the draw string out of the cover far enough to tie the ends together.
    2.5. Securely tie the draw string ends together.
           - Tie with a square knot.
           - The ends of the draw string should extend a minimum of one inch beyond the knot.

  3. Position the trim cover over the seat cushion foam and the seat frame.
  4. Tighten the draw string at the rear of the seat and securely tie.
  5. Install the hogrings attaching the rear side corners of the seat cushion trim cover.

    6. Object Number: 172299 Size: SH
  6. If step 1 was preformed wrap the front seat material around the draw string and hog ring the material to the string. Make sure no sharp points of the hog rings are pointed down.

  7. Install the hogrings attaching the rear center flap.

    8. Object Number: 71221 Size: SH
  8. Install the side trim panel (sport seat). Refer to Front Seat Trim Panel Replacement .

    9. Object Number: 376637 Size: SH
  9. Install the recliner handle.
    10. 9.1. Position the handle retaining spring clip into the lock position.
    9.2. Snap the handle onto the reclining mechanism shaft.

  10. Install the seat. Refer to Seat Replacement - Power with Adjuster or Manual Seat Replacement .
