Removal Procedure
- Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
- Position a suitable container to catch the engine oil.
- Disconnect the engine oil cooler pipes from the oil filter adapter. Refer to Engine Oil Cooler Hose/Pipe Replacement in Engine Cooling.
- Remove the oil filter adapter. Refer to Oil Filter Adapter Removal .
- Clean all sealing surfaces.
Installation Procedure
- Install the oil filter adapter. Refer to Oil Filter Adapter Installation .
- Connect the engine oil cooler pipes to the oil filter adapter. Refer to Engine Oil Cooler Hose/Pipe Replacement in Engine Cooling.
- Lower the vehicle.
- Operate the engine and inspect for oil leaks.
- Inspect the engine oil level and add oil if necessary.
