Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 382735  Size: SH
  1. Raise the vehicle.
  2. Remove the steering linkage shield. Refer to Steering Linkage Shield Replacement in Steering Linkage.
  3. Remove the bolt attaching the engine oil cooler lines to the oil filter assembly/fluid cooler.
  4. Remove the O-rings.
  5. Remove the bolt attaching the engine oil cooler lines from the engine.
  6. Remove the O-rings.
  7. Remove the bolt securing the engine oil cooler lines to the clamp.
  8. Remove the engine oil cooler lines from the engine.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the engine oil cooler lines to the vehicle.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Attach the lines to the clamp.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the engine oil cooler lines clamp bolt to 8 N·m (71 lb in).

  5. Install the O-rings to the engine oil cooler lines.
  6. Install the cooler lines to the oil filter assembly/fluid cooler.
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the attaching bolt to 35 N·m (26 lb ft).

  8. Install the O-rings to the engine oil cooler lines.
  9. Install the cooler lines to the engine.
  10. Tighten
    Tighten the attaching bolt to 35 N·m (26 lb ft).

  11. Install the steering linkage shield. Refer to Steering Linkage Shield Replacement in Steering Linkage.
  12. Lower the vehicle.
  13. Fill engine with oil to the proper level.

  14. Start the engine and check for leaks.
