The circuitry is internal to the navigation module (NAV).
The navigation module (NAV) runs the DTC when a map CD is inserted into the NAV or when the NAV detects a transition from OFF-ASLEEP to ACC, ON or RAP.
DTC B2463 does not set if DTC B1328 or B1327 is current.
The navigation module (NAV) functions are activated with no navigation CD in the navigation module (NAV) CD slot.
DTC B2463 does not set if DTC B1328 or B1327 is current.
• | No map appears on the navigation display head (NDH) when the MAP/REPEAT button located beside the display is pressed. |
• | The NO MAP CD INSERTED message appears on the navigation display head (NDH) screen. |
• | The navigation buttons do not function. |
• | This failure has no effect outside the system navigation functions. |
A current DTC clears when the navigation module (NAV) detects a navigation CD.
Important: If DTC B2465 is also set, service B2465 before servicing B2463.
Make sure the CD installed is a navigation system map CD defined for this system. Also be sure the label is on the top side of the installed CD.
The number(s) below refer to the step number(s) on the diagnostic table.
