DEFINITION: The blower motor operates in high speed only. All other speeds are inoperative.

  1. Disconnect the blower control module.
  2. Turn the ignition ON.
  3. Set the blower to LOW speed.
  4. Measure voltage between terminal C, CKT 754 (GRY/BLK) and ground.

Is the voltage measured greater than the specified value?

9 V

Go to Step 2

  1. Set blower to HI speed.
  2. Measure voltage at terminal C, CKT 754 (GRY/BLK) and ground.

Is the voltage measured less than the specified value?

3 V

Go to Step 4

Repair the short to ground in CKT 754 (GRY/BLK).

Was a short to ground repaired in CKT 754 (GRY/BLK)?

Replace the blower control module. Refer to Blower Motor Control Module Replacement

Replace the instrument panel integration module (IPM). Refer to Body Control Module Replacement
