Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 428787  Size: SH
  1. Lower the headliner in order to access the drain hose connections. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  2. Cut the tie wraps from the drain hoses.
  3. Remove the drain hoses from the sunroof module.
  4. Remove the interior moldings in order to access the drain hose retaining clips. Refer to Windshield Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement and Sail Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.

  6. Remove the tape from the drain hoses.
  7. Remove the front drain hoses from the retaining clips.

  8. Object Number: 428787  Size: SH
  9. Remove the upper portion of the rear drain hoses from the retaining clips.

  10. Object Number: 258860  Size: SH
  11. Remove the rear compartment side trim panels. Refer to Rear Compartment Side Trim Replacement - Left Side or Rear Compartment Side Trim Replacement - Right Side in Body Rear End.
  12. Remove the lower portion of the rear drain hoses from the retaining clips.
  13. Pull the rear drain hoses up through the side rail and hinge pillar.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 258860  Size: SH
  1. Route the rear drain hoses down through the access hole in the side rail and hinge pillar.
  2. Push the end of the rear drain hoses down to the rear compartment opening.
  3. Clip the lower portion of the rear drain hoses into position.
  4. Install the rear compartment trim. Refer to Rear Compartment Side Trim Replacement - Left Side or Rear Compartment Side Trim Replacement - Right Side in Body Rear End.

  5. Object Number: 428787  Size: SH
  6. Clip the upper portion of the rear drain hoses into position.

  7. Object Number: 428783  Size: SH
  8. Clip the front drain hoses into position.
  9. Install the interior moldings. Refer to Windshield Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement and Sail Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  10. Install the drain hoses to the drain spouts on the sunroof module.
  11. Important: When installing the new drain hose tie wraps, position the tie wraps in order to maintain clearance between the tie wraps and the headliner.

  12. Secure the drain hoses to the sunroof module with new tie wraps.
  13. Notice: Use care when removing and installing the headliner. If reusing the headliner lay the headliner down flat on a clean surface. Excessive bending will damage the headliner.

  14. Install the headliner to the roof. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
