Removal Procedure

Important: Whenever the sunroof motor is removed from the vehicle, the motor must be synchronized before installation. Refer to Track and Motor Synchronization .

  1. Remove the formed headliner at the rear. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.

  2. Object Number: 468357  Size: SH
  3. Disconnect the electrical connectors (3) from the sunroof motor (1).
  4. Remove the fasteners (5) attaching the sunroof motor (1) to the sunroof module (2).

Installation Procedure

    Important: Whenever the sunroof motor is removed from the vehicle, the motor must be synchronized before installation. Refer to Track and Motor Synchronization .

  1. Connect the electrical harness connectors (3) to the sunroof motor (1).
  2. Synchronize the motor. Refer to Track and Motor Synchronization .
  3. Install the sunroof motor (1) to the sunroof module (2).
  4. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Install the fasteners attaching the sunroof motor to the sunroof module.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the fasteners to 5 N·m (44 lb in).

  7. Install the headliner. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
