For 1990-2009 cars only
- Activate the sunroof motor to align the sunroof glass panel to the fully closed and flush position.
- Adjust the sunroof glass position to precisely align the glass to the roof sheet metal. Refer to Sunroof Manual Operation .
- Remove the sunroof motor.
- Activate the sunroof motor in any of the following switch positions:
- Vent close
- Slide close
- Express open
- Align the screwdriver slot (1) to the timing mark (2) on the motor case.
- Replace the sunroof motor.
- Operate the sunroof through all of the functions to allow the control module to learn the sunroof glass position.
- Readjust the sunroof glass panel if necessary. Refer to Sunroof Window Height and Opening Fit Adjustment .
Important: The incorrect sunroof switch (vent or slide) position may have to be used in order to close the sunroof glass panel. This is due to the motor and sunroof glass not being timed to each other.
Do not disconnect the wire harness.
Important: The sunroof electronics will automatically stop the sunroof motor at each cam detent.
Important: This may require multiple attempts due to the dual detents in the motor cam.
