Removal Procedure
  1. Place window in the full up position.

    2. Object Number: 334836 Size: SH
  2. Remove the door trim panel. Refer to Door Trim Panel Replacement

    3. Caution: Disconnect the power window switch when working inside the driver door. When operated, the Express Up/Down Feature allows the door window to move very quickly, without stopping, which could cause personal injury.

  3. Remove the water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement
  4. Remove the front door handle nut.

  5. Remove the rear door handle nut from the front door handle.

    6. Object Number: 291146 Size: SH
  6. Disconnect the lock cylinder rod from the door latch (driver's door only).

    7. Object Number: 507065 Size: SH
  7. Disconnect the outside door handle rod (1) by opening the retainer (2) at door latch.

    8. Object Number: 334828 Size: SH
  8. Push up on the handle retention clip and remove the handle.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 334828 Size: SH
  1. Install the handle by inserting the rods through the door opening first.

    2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  2. Install the outside door handle nuts.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts to 7 N·m (62 lb in).

  3. Connect the lock cylinder rod to the door latch on the driver's door.

    4. Object Number: 105412 Size: SH
  4. Push door handle rod (1) up in order to remove play and install into the clip (2) on the door latch assembly.

    5. Important: Inspect for the proper operation of the door handle and lock cylinder before installing the water deflector and the door trim panel.

  5. Install the water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement
  6. Install the door trim panel. Refer to Door Trim Panel Replacement
