Transmission Mount Replacement Rear

Removal Procedure

  1. Raise the vehicle. Support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  2. Remove the left front tire and wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
  3. Install a jack stand under the left side of the transmission in order to support the powertrain.
  4. Remove the mount stud nut from the mount stud to allow separation of the mount from the mount bracket.

  6. Remove the nut (4) and bolt (1) and the nuts (3) from the vehicle.
  7. Using the jack stand, slowly lower the powertrain and remove the mount from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Install the rear mount onto the left frame rail of the vehicle.
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the mount bolt (1) and nut (4) and nuts (3) to 70 N·m (52 lb ft).

  3. Using the jack stand, raise the powertrain and load the mount.
  4. Install the mount stud nut onto the mount stud.
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the mount stud nut to

  6. Remove the jack stand.
  7. Install the left front tire and wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
  8. Lower the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .

  1. Remove the engine frame. Refer to Engine Frame in Frame and Underbody.
  2. Remove the mount from the mount bracket.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the right transmission mount into the mount bracket and install the mount nuts.
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the mount nuts to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).

  3. Install the engine frame. Refer to Engine Frame in Frame and Underbody.
