1. Place the cellular telephone handset in the docking cup.
2. Dial *611.
3. Press SND.

Does the call connect to the cellular provider?

1. End the call to the carrier (placed in step 2).
2. Make sure that the handset is in the docking cup.
3. Press the SELECT button on the LH side steering wheel controls.
4. Listen for voice recognition (VR) response.

Does VR respond with Ready through the handset?

1. Say Dial. VR says Number Please.
2. In a normal voice, say Star, 6, 1, 1.
3. Say Call. VR says Dialing.

Does the call connect to the cellular provider?

Determine if the cellular telephone microphone and related circuits operate properly. Refer to Cellular Telephone - Hands Free Operation Inoperative .

Is the repair complete?

Replace the cellular telephone handset. Refer to Cellular Telephone Replacement .

Is the replacement complete?

1. Make sure any components removed during diagnosis are installed in place and that all connectors are connected.
2. Repeat the system check. Refer to Cellular Telephone System Check .
