Circuit Description

Vehicle stability enhancement system (VSES) activations generally occur during aggressive driving. Perform this test when the VSES does not activate when the vehicle is driven aggressively enough to require activation (this can be subjective).

2	Install a scan tool. Start the engine. Observe the Stabilitrak Steering Angle Is Centered parameter in the Delco/Bosch ABS/TCS ICCS2 data list. Perform the Diagnostic Test Drive. Refer to Diagnostic Test Drive . Did the scan tool display Yes within the specified value?	30 seconds	Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems	Go to Step 3
3	Perform the diagnosis for DTC C1283. Refer to DTC C1283 Excessive Time to Center Steering . Did you find and correct the condition?	--	Go to Step 5	Go to Step 4
4	Replace the EBCM. Refer to Electronic Brake Control Module Replacement . Did you complete the replacement?	--	Go to Step 5	--
5	Operate the system in order to verify the repair. Did you correct the condition?	--	System OK	Go to Step 2
