Rear Compartment Support Brace Replacement - Right Side DeVille

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the rear compartment trim panel. Refer to Rear Compartment Trim Panel Replacement .

  2. Object Number: 367537  Size: MH
  3. Remove the nuts (3) that retain the brace (2) to the vehicle.
  4. Remove the ground strap.
  5. Remove the braces from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 367537  Size: MH
  1. Install the braces.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the nuts (3) that retain the braces to the vehicle.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts to 17 N·m (12 lb ft).

  5. Install the ground strap.
  6. Install the rear compartment trim panel. Refer to Rear Compartment Trim Panel Replacement .

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the rear compartment trim panel. Refer to Rear Compartment Trim Panel Replacement .

  2. Object Number: 367565  Size: SH
  3. Remove the nuts (2) that retain the brace to the vehicle.
  4. Remove the brace (1) from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 367565  Size: SH
  1. Install the brace (1).
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.   3. Install the nuts (2) that retain the brace to the vehicle.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts to 41 N·m (30 lb ft).

  5. Install the rear compartment trim panel. Refer to Rear Compartment Trim Panel Replacement .
