Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the seat assembly, with the aid from an assistant. Refer to Seat Replacement
  2. Place the seat upside down on a clean, protected surface.
  3. Remove the seat side trim and switch assembly. Refer to Power Seat Switch Replacement .
  4. Remove the seat bottom J-channels (3) as necessary in order to access the fasteners and the electrical connectors.
  5. Remove the seat belt buckle. Refer to Seat Belt Buckle Replacement - Left Front or to Seat Belt Buckle Replacement - Right Front .
  6. Remove the two hog rings at the rear of the seat skirt.
  7. Remove the seat cover and pad assembly. Refer to Front Seat Cushion Cover Replacement .
  8. Disconnect the electrical connectors.
  9. Remove the four bolts retaining the seat adjuster assembly to the seat bottom frame.

  11. Disconnect the seat adjuster electrical connectors.
  12. Remove the seat adjuster assembly.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 315283  Size: SH
  1. Install the seat adjuster to the seat frame.
  2. Install the four nuts onto the seat frame that retains the adjuster to the seat frame.
  3. Connect the electrical connectors.
  4. Install the seat cover and pad assembly. Refer to Front Seat Cushion Cover Replacement .
  5. Install the two hog rings at the rear of the seat skirt.
  6. Install the seat belt buckle. Refer to Seat Belt Buckle Replacement - Left Front or to Seat Belt Buckle Replacement - Right Front .
  7. Install the seat bottom J-channels (3).
  8. Install the seat side trim and switch assembly. Refer to Power Seat Switch Replacement .
  9. Install the seat assembly, with the aid from an assistant. Refer to Seat Replacement .
  10. Adjust the power seat adjusters. Refer to Seat Adjuster Phase Adjustment .
  11. If the vehicle is equipped with memory seats, calibrate the seat. Refer to Memory Seat Calibration .
