Did you perform the Power Antenna System Check?

  1. Disconnect the power antenna relay connector C1.
  2. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
  3. Turn the ON radio.
  4. Measure the voltage from the power antenna relay connector C1 terminal A to ground.

Is the voltage within the specified range?

10-15 V

Go to Step 3

  1. Disconnect the power antenna relay connector C2.
  2. Measure the resistance from the power antenna connector terminal C to ground (antenna side).

Is the resistance within the specified range?

0-5 ohms

Go to Step 16

Measure the resistance from the power antenna connector terminal B to ground (antenna side).

Is the resistance within the specified range?

0-5 ohms

Go to Step 16

Measure the resistance from the power antenna connector terminal A to ground (antenna side).

Is the resistance within the specified range?

0-5 ohms

Repair the open or short to ground in CKT 2140 (ORN).

Measure the voltage from the power antenna relay connector C1 terminal A to C.

Is the voltage within the specified range?

Repair the open in CKT 1250 (BLK).

Inspect for an open in CKT 145 (DK GRN).

  1. Turn the ignition switch off.
  2. Reconnect the power antenna relay connector C1.
  3. Disconnect the power antenna relay connector C2.
  4. Turn on the ignition switch.
  5. Measure the voltage from the power antenna relay cavity B to A.

Is the voltage within the specified range?

10-15 V

  1. Turn the radio off.
  2. Measure the voltage from the power antenna relay cavity B to C.

Is the voltage within the specified range?

10-15 V
