Tail Lamp Replacement DeVille

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 365019  Size: SH
  1. Loosen the screw (2) at the top of the tail lamp (3).
  2. Pull outward on the top of the tail lamp (3) and pull upward in order to disengage the tab at the bottom of the tail lamp.
  3. Disconnect the electrical connector (4) from the tail lamp (3).
  4. Disconnect the fiber optic connector from the tail lamp (3).
  5. Remove the tail lamp (3).

Installation Procedure

  1. Connect the electrical connector (4).
  2. Connect the fiber optic connector.
  3. Install the tail lamp (3).
  4. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Install the screw (2).
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the screw to 1.5 N·m (13 lb in).

Tail Lamp Replacement Eldorado

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the rear compartment trim. Refer to Rear Compartment Trim Panel Replacement in Body Rear End:

  3. Remove the nuts (1) securing the tail lamp (2).
  4. Disconnect the bulb sockets (4).
  5. Remove the push-in fasteners.
  6. Remove the tail lamp (2).

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 365039  Size: SH
  1. Install the tail lamp
  2. Connect the bulb sockets (4).
  3. Position the lamp (2) to the quarter panel.
  4. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.   5. Install the nuts (1) securing the tail lamp (2).
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts to 1.5 N·m (13 lb in).

  7. Install the push-in fasteners.
  8. Install the rear compartment trim. Refer to Rear Compartment Trim Panel Replacement in Body Rear End.
