Was the Fog Lights System Check performed?

  1. Place the fog lamp switch in the ON position.
  2. Connect a J 39200 digital multimeter (DMM) from ground to the following headlamp switch connector terminal:
  3. • Front fog lamps: connector C1 terminal F (PPL).
    • Rear fog lamps: connector C1 terminal H (RED).

Is battery voltage measured?

Inspect the following circuits for an open:

    • Front fog lamps: CKT 34 (PPL) between the headlamp switch and splice S106.
    • Rear fog lamps: CKT 122 (RED) between the headlamp switch and splice S418.

Refer to Testing for Continuity in Wiring Systems.

Is the circuit OK?

Inspect CKT 150 (BLK) for an open between the headlamp switch and splice S219. Refer to Testing for Continuity in Wiring Systems.

Is CKT 150 OK?

Repair the suspect wiring. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Replace the headlamp switch. Refer to Headlamp Switch Replacement .
