Circuit Description

Battery voltage is supplied to the CVRSS control module at connector C1, terminal B1. The CVRSS control module monitors the supplied battery voltage to determine if it is within a valid operating range.

Conditions for Setting the DTC

    • DTC C1326 sets when the battery voltage is above 15.5 volts.
    • DTC C1326 sets when the battery voltage falls below 9.0 volts.

Conditions for Clearing the MIL/DTC

    • DTC C1326 clears when the battery voltage is less than 15.0 volts.
    • DTC 1326 clears when the battery voltage is greater than 9.5 volts.

Diagnostic Aids

    • DTC C1326 disables the ability to set most other CVRSS DTCs.
    • DTC C1326 may set when the vehicle is placed on a battery charger, on fast charge, for a long period of time.

Test Description

The number(s) below refer to the step number(s) on the diagnostic table.

  1. This test determines whether the malfunction is in the charging system or the CVRSS control module.

Step

Action

Value(s)

Yes

No

1

  1. Disconnect CVRSS control module connector C1.
  2. Measure the voltage between CVRSS control module connector C1 terminal B1 and ground.

Is the measurement within the specified values?

9-15.5 V

Go to Step 2

Go to Charging System Check in Engine Electrical

2

  1. Reconnect CVRSS control module connector C1 if the connector is disconnected.
  2. Clear the DTCs and cycle the ignition. Refer to Clearing DTCs .
  3. If the DTC returns, replace the CVRSS Control Module. If the DTC does not return, check for intermittents.
  4. Important: The controller must be calibrated.

  5. Calibrate the CVRSS service controller using the scan tool. Refer to Electronic Suspension Control Module Calibration .
