Removal Procedure
- Remove the door trim panel. Refer to
Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement
.
- Remove the door water deflector. Refer to
Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement
.
- Remove the inside door handle. Refer to
Rear Side Door Inside Handle Replacement
.
- Remove all the rods that
attach to the lock assembly.
- Remove the rear door lock actuator electrical connector.
- Remove the rear door lock screws.
- Remove the rear door lock.
- Remove the rear door lock actuator screws.
- Remove the rear door lock actuator from rear door lock.
Installation Procedure
- Install the rear door
lock actuator to the rear door lock.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the rear
door lock actuator screws.
Tighten
Tighten the rear door lock actuator screws to 3 N·m (27 lb in).
- Install the rear door lock.
- Install the rear door lock screws.
Tighten
Tighten the rear door lock screws to 8 N·m (71 lb in).
- Install the rear door lock actuator electrical connector.
- Install all the rods that attach to the lock assembly.
- Install the inside door handle. Refer to
Rear Side Door Inside Handle Replacement
.
- Install the door water deflector. Refer to
Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement
.
- Install the door trim panel. Refer to
Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement
