Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 786525 Size: SH
  1. Remove the upper rear quarter finish trim panels. Refer to Rear Quarter Upper Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  2. Remove the rear window trim panel. Refer to Rear Window Trim Panel Replacement in Body Rear End.
  3. Remove the right rear side trim from the rear compartment. Refer to Rear Compartment Side Trim Replacement - Right Side in Body Rear End.
  4. Remove the passenger hinge pillar trim panel. Refer to Body Hinge Pillar Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  5. Remove the radio. Refer to Radio Replacement .
  6. Disconnect the antenna cable from the antenna amplifier.
  7. Cut off the visible end of the antenna cable (3) from the wire harness in radio area.
  8. Cut off the visible end of the antenna cable from the wire harness in the rear cargo area.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the antenna cable to the vehicle.
  2. Place a piece of tape around the hole in the rear parcel shelf to prevent chaffing the new antenna cable.
  3. Starting at the rear parcel shelf, route the new antenna cable down through the hole in the rear shelf.
  4. Run the antenna cable down the inboard side of the wheel well in the rear compartment area.
  5. Use electrical tape or nylon tie straps (2) in order to secure the antenna cable to the wire harness (1).

    6. Make sure that the antenna cable is secured to the harness at least every 150 mm (6 in).

  6. Route the antenna cable up to the radio along the HVAC module, and through the radio support bracket.
  7. Connect the antenna cable to the antenna amplifier.
  8. Connect the antenna cable to the radio.
  9. Install the radio. Refer to Radio Replacement .
  10. Install the passenger hinge pillar trim panel. Refer to Body Hinge Pillar Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  11. Install the right rear side trim to the rear compartment. Refer to Rear Compartment Side Trim Replacement - Right Side in Body Rear End.
  12. Install the rear window trim panel. Refer to Rear Window Trim Panel Replacement in Body Rear End.
  13. Install the upper rear quarter trim finish panels. Refer to Rear Quarter Upper Trim Panel Replacement in Interior trim.
