Important: The Daytime Running Lamps (DRL) feature can be disabled via the scan
tool. Observe that "DRL Enabled" is selected by the scan tool.
- Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
- Shift the gear selector to the D position.
- Insure that the headlamp switch is in the OFF position.
- Insure that the twilight sentinel switch is in the OFF position.
- Verify that the Daytime running lamps are inoperative

- Turn the headlamp switch to the HEAD position.
- Turn on the high beam switch.
- Verify that the LH and RH high beam headlamps operate.
Does the LH and RH high beam headlamps operate properly?

- Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
- Insure that the headlamp switch is in the OFF position.
- Insure that the high beam switch is in the OFF position.
- Disconnect the left headlamp relay K73 and the right headlamp
relay K132.
- Test for an open or high resistance in the DRL high beam series
circuit (M65).

relay K73.
