Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 245734 Size: SH
  1. Remove the gear selector boot from the console.

    2. The boot snaps into the console and can be removed by gently pulling up on the front end of the boot.

  2. Remove the shift indicator by reaching through the console opening near the gear selector.
  3. Remove the connector from the shift indicator.
  4. Remove the winter mode switch. Refer to Winter Mode Switch Replacement .

  5. Remove the console trim plate screws.
  6. Move the console trim plate forward to access the front mounted console bolts.

    7. Object Number: 245730 Size: SH
  7. Remove the bolts mounted in the front of the console.

    8. Object Number: 441106 Size: SH

  8. Remove the park brake boot (1) by carefully prying on sides of boot .

  9. Remove the screw from the center of the park brake trim panel.

    10. Object Number: 441105 Size: SH
  10. Remove the bolts mounted in the rear of the console.
  11. Remove the console.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 441105 Size: SH
  1. Install the console into the mounting position.
  2. Reposition the shift selector to the park position.

    3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the bolts mounted in the rear of the console.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  4. Install the screw in the center of the park brake trim panel.

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the screw to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  5. Install the park brake boot (1).


    Object Number: 245730 Size: SH
  6. Install the bolts mounted in the front of the console.

    7. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 3 N·m (27 lb in).


    Object Number: 441110 Size: SH
  7. Install the console trim plate.
  8. Install the console trim plate screws.

    9. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  9. Install the winter mode switch. Refer to Winter Mode Switch Replacement .
  10. Install the connector to the shift indicator.
  11. Install the shift indicator by snapping into place.
  12. Install the gear selector boot to the lower console.
