Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 246213 Size: SH
  1. Place the seat in the full forward and upright position.
  2. Remove the right front seat track rear trim screw.
  3. Remove the right front seat track front trim by unsnapping.
  4. Remove the upper center pillar trim. Refer to Center Pillar Upper Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  5. Remove the carpet retainer. Refer to Carpet Retainer Replacement in Interior Trim.

  6. Remove the right front lower seat belt bolt.
  7. Remove the bolt from the right front seat belt retractor.

    8. Object Number: 380309 Size: SH
  8. Remove the right front seat belt retractor upper bolt from the front seat shoulder belt guide adjuster.

    9. Object Number: 168494 Size: MH
  9. Remove the screws (4) from the right front seat belt shoulder guide.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 168494 Size: MH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Install the right front seat belt shoulder guide.

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the right front seat belt shoulder guide screws (4) to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  2. Install the right front seat belt retractor upper bolt to the front seat shoulder belt guide adjuster.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the right front seat shoulder belt to guide adjuster bolt to 35 N·m (26 lb ft).

  3. Install the right front seat belt retractor.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the right front seat belt retractor bolt to 35 N·m (26 lb ft).

  4. Install the right front lower seat belt.

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the right front lower seat belt bolt to 35 N·m (26 lb ft).

  5. Install the carpet retainer. Refer to Carpet Retainer Replacement in Interior Trim.
  6. Install the upper center pillar trim. Refer to Center Pillar Upper Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  7. Install the front seat track front trim.
  8. Install the front track rear trim screw.
  9. Place the seat in the full forward and center position.
