Removal Procedure

  1. Remove intake air resonator. Refer to Intake Air Resonator Replacement in Engine Controls.
  2. Remove the intake plenum. Refer to Intake Plenum Replacement .
  3. Remove the timing belt cover. Refer to Timing Belt Cover Replacement .
  4. Remove the timing belt. Refer to Timing Belt Replacement .

  5. Object Number: 345841  Size: SH
  6. Remove the timing belt tensioner pulley bracket bolts.
  7. Remove the timing belt tensioner bracket with pulley.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 345841  Size: SH
  1. Install the timing belt tensioner pulley and bracket assembly.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the timing belt tensioner pulley bracket bolts.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the timing belt tensioner bracket bolts to 40 N·m (30 lb ft).

  5. Install the timing belt. Refer to Timing Belt Replacement .
  6. Install the timing belt cover. Refer to Timing Belt Cover Replacement .
  7. Install the intake plenum. Refer to Intake Plenum Replacement .
  8. Install the intake air resonator. Refer to Intake Air Resonator Replacement in Engine Controls.
