Did you perform the Headlight Diagnostic System Check?

  1. Disconnect the BCM connector C1.
  2. Press and hold the Flash-to-Pass switch.
  3. Use the DMM in order to measure the voltage between terminal A4 of the BCM connector C1 and a known good ground.

Is the measured voltage within the specified value?

B+

Go to Step 3

Go to Step 4

Replace the BCM. Refer to Body Control Module Replacement in Body Control System.

Did you complete the repair?

  1. Disconnect the turn signal switch connector.
  2. Use the DMM in order to measure the resistance between terminal 2 of the turn signal switch connector and terminal A4 of the BCM connector  C1.

Is the measured resistance less than the specified value?

5 ohms

Go to Step 6

  1. Locate an open or a high resistance in circuits  M3 and/or M50.
  2. Repair the open or the high resistance in circuits M3 and/or M50.

Did you complete the repair?

Use the DMM in order to measure the voltage between terminal 5 of the turn signal switch connector and a known good ground.

Is the measured voltage within the specified value?

B+

Go to Step 8

  1. Locate an open or a high resistance in circuit  A8.
  2. Repair the open or the high resistance in circuit A8.

Did you complete the repair?

Replace the turn signal switch. Refer to Turn Signal Switch Replacement - On Vehicle in Steering Column On Vehicle Service.

  1. Connect all connectors and components that were disconnected.
  2. Verify that the flash to pass system operates properly.
