Did you perform the Power Seats System Check?

  1. Disconnect the driver seat recliner actuator motor connector.
  2. Use the DMM in order to measure the voltage between terminal 1 and terminal 2 of the connector on the switch side while pressing the forward and backward switch.
  3. Terminal 1 is B+ and terminal 2 is grounded if the backward switch is pressed.
  4. Terminal 2 is B+ and terminal 1 is grounded if the forward switch is pressed.

Is the measured voltage at the specified value?

B+

Go to Step 4

Replace the driver seat adjuster switch. Refer to Power Seat Switch Replacement .

Is the replacement complete?

Replace the driver seat recliner actuator motor. Refer to Recliner Motor Replacement - Front Power .

Is the replacement complete?

  1. Connect all connectors and components that were disconnected.
  2. Verify that the driver seat recliner actuator motor operates properly.

Does the driver seat recliner actuator motor operate properly?

  1. Disconnect the passenger seat recliner actuator motor connector.
  2. Use the DMM in order to measure the voltage between terminal 1 and terminal 2 of the connector on the switch side while pressing the forward and backward switch.
