- Install the scan tool.
- Select BODY CONTROL MODULE.
- Select INPUTS.
- Select KEY DISARM.
- Insert the ignition key into the door lock switch.
- Turn the door lock switch to unlock.
Does the scan tool display ON?

- Check the door lock switch for intermittent malfunction, by turning
the switch several times while monitoring the scan tool.
- If OK, check circuits XY8, F4, F8, and F1 for intermittent operation.
Was a problem found with the above circuits

- Disconnect connector C1 from the Body Control Module (BCM).
- Using the DMM on the ohms scale, connect the DMM from terminal
A03 to a good ground.
- Insert the ignition key in the door lock switch and turn to the
unlock position.
- Measure the resistance.
Is the measured resistance within the specified value?

| Repair the intermittent circuit malfunction or replace
the door lock switch. Refer to Doors.

- Check for poor connections at the BCM.
- Replace the BCM. Refer to Body Control Module.

- Remove the connector from the door lock switch.
- Install the scan tool.
- Select KEY DISARM.
- Using a fused jumper wire, connect the jumper wire between terminals
1 and 2.
