Was the Content Theft Deterrent System Check performed?

Go to Step 2

Go to Diagnostic System Check - Theft Deterrent .

1. Disconnect the BCM connector C2.
2. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.

Is the Security Indicator Lamp ON?

Go to Step 3

Go to Step 4

1. Locate a short to ground in circuit XP840.
2. Repair the short to ground in circuit XP840.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Diagnostic System Check - Theft Deterrent .

1. Check all the power and ground circuits to the BCM.
2. If these circuits are OK, replace the BCM. Refer to Body Control Module.

Is the replacement complete?
