Was the Wiper/Washer System Check performed?

  1. Disconnect the windshield wiper motor connector.
  2. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
  3. Turn the windshield wiper/washer switch to the LOW position.
  4. Use a DMM in order to measure the voltage between terminal A of the windshield wiper motor connector and ground.

Does the voltage measure at the specified value?

B+

  1. Locate an open or a high resistance in CKT B7.
  2. Repair the open or the high resistance in CKT B7.
  3. If CKT B7 is OK, replace the windshield wiper/washer switch. Refer to Windshield Wiper and Washer Switch Replacement - On Vehicle in Steering.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Check for a faulty connection at terminal A of the windshield wiper motor connector.
  2. If the connection is OK, replace the windshield wiper motor. Refer to Windshield Wiper Motor Replacement .

  1. Reconnect all of the connectors and the components that were disconnected.
  2. Verify that the windshield wipers operate properly at LOW speed.
