Removal Procedure
  1. Disable the SIR system If equipped with the SIR side impact system. Refer to Disabling the SIR System .
  2. Remove the front door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
  3. Remove the front door water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  4. Remove the Inflatable restraint side impact sensor mounting plate if equipped. Refer to SIR Sensor Mounting Plate Replacement - Front Door in this section.
  5. Remove the front door inside handle rod. Refer to Front Side Door Locking Rod Replacement .
  6. Remove all rods that attach to the lock.
  7. Remove the front door actuator electrical connectors.

  8. Remove the front door lock screws.
  9. Remove the front door lock from the door.

    10. Object Number: 243214 Size: SH
  10. Remove the front door lock actuator screws.
  11. Remove the front door lock actuator from the door lock.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 243214 Size: SH
  1. Install the front door lock actuator to the door lock.
  2. Install the front door lock actuator screws.

    3. Object Number: 243211 Size: SH
  3. Install the front door lock to the door.
  4. Install the front door lock screws.
  5. Install the front door actuator electrical connectors.
  6. Install all rods that attach to the lock.
  7. Install the front door inside handle rod. Refer to Front Side Door Locking Rod Replacement .
  8. Install the Inflatable restraint side impact sensor mounting plate if equipped. Refer to SIR Sensor Mounting Plate Replacement - Front Door .
  9. Install the front door water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  10. Install front door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
  11. Enable SIR system If equipped with SIR side impact system. Refer to Enabling the SIR System in Restraints.
