- Use the DMM to measure the voltage between terminal 3 of the stop
lamp switch connector and a known good ground.

- Locate an open or a high resistance in circuit X11.
- Repair the open or the high resistance in circuit X11.

- Disconnect the BCM connector C2.
- Use the DMM to measure the resistance between terminal 4 of the
stop lamp switch connector and terminal D11 of the BCM connector C2.
Is the measured resistance within the specified value?

- Locate an open or a high resistance in circuits FX102, FX750 and/or
FX899.
- Repair the open or the high resistance in circuits FX102, FX750
and/or FX899.

- Press the brake pedal so that the stop lamp switch closes.
- Use the DMM to measure the voltage between terminal D11 of the
BCM connector C2 and a known good ground.

- Take the transmission out of the PARK position.
- Terminal 9 of the inline connector C205 grounds when the transmission
is taken out of the PARK position.
- Use the DMM to measure the resistance between terminal B01 of
the BCM connector C1 and a known good ground.
Is the measured resistance within the specified value?

- Locate an open or a high resistance in circuit B900.
- Repair the open or the high resistance in circuit B900.
- Replace the automatic transmission shift lock control switch in
circuit B900 is OK.
