Was the Power Door Locks System Check performed?

Go to Step 2

Go to Power Door Locks System Check .

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
  2. Disconnect the stop lamp switch.
  3. Use the DMM to measure the voltage between terminal 3 of the stop lamp switch connector and a known good ground.

Is the measured voltage within the specified value?

B+

Go to Step 4

  1. Locate an open or a high resistance in circuit X11.
  2. Repair the open or the high resistance in circuit X11.

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to Step 11

  1. Disconnect the BCM connector C2.
  2. Use the DMM to measure the resistance between terminal 4 of the stop lamp switch connector and terminal D11 of the BCM connector C2.

Is the measured resistance within the specified value?

Less than 5 ohms

Go to Step 6

Go to Step 5

  1. Locate an open or a high resistance in circuits FX102, FX750 and/or FX899.
  2. Repair the open or the high resistance in circuits FX102, FX750 and/or FX899.

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to Step 11

  1. Connect the stop lamp switch.
  2. Press the brake pedal so that the stop lamp switch closes.
  3. Use the DMM to measure the voltage between terminal D11 of the BCM connector C2 and a known good ground.

Is the measured voltage within the specified value?

B+

Go to Step 8

Replace the stop lamp switch. Refer to Stop Lamp Switch Replacement in Hydraulic Brakes.

Is the replacement complete?

Go to Step 11

  1. Disconnect the BCM connector C1.
  2. Take the transmission out of the PARK position.
  3. Terminal 9 of the inline connector C205 grounds when the transmission is taken out of the PARK position.
  4. Use the DMM to measure the resistance between terminal B01 of the BCM connector C1 and a known good ground.

Is the measured resistance within the specified value?

Less than 5 ohms

Go to Step 10

  1. Locate an open or a high resistance in circuit B900.
  2. Repair the open or the high resistance in circuit B900.
  3. Replace the automatic transmission shift lock control switch in circuit B900 is OK.

Is the repair or the replacement complete?

Go to Step 11

Replace the BCM. Refer to Body Control Module Replacement in Body control Module.

Is the repair or the replacement complete?

  1. Connect all connectors and components that were disconnected.
  2. Verify that the doors lock when the transmission is taken out of the PARK position.

Do the doors lock when the transmission is taken out of the PARK position?
