Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 444881  Size: SH
  1. Remove the upper rear quarter trim finish panels. Refer to Rear Quarter Upper Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  2. Remove the rear window trim panel. Refer to Rear Window Trim Panel Replacement in Body Rear End.
  3. Remove the right rear side trim from the rear compartment. Refer to Compartment Trim and Cargo Net Replacement - Rear in Body Rear End.
  4. Remove the passenger hinge pillar trim panel. Refer to Body Hinge Pillar Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  5. Disconnect the antenna amplifier cable (1) from the radio extension cable (2).
  6. Disconnect the antenna amplifier cable from the antenna amplifier.
  7. Cut off the visible end of the antenna amplifier cable (2) from the wire harness in hinge pillar area.
  8. Cut off the visible end of the antenna amplifier cable from the wire harness in the rear cargo area.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the antenna cable to the vehicle.
  2. Place a piece of tape around the edge of the hole in the rear parcel shelf to prevent chaffing the new antenna cable.
  3. Starting at the rear parcel shelf, route the new antenna cable down through the hole in the rear shelf.
  4. Run the antenna cable down the inboard side of the wheel well in the rear cargo area.
  5. Use electrical tape in order to secure the antenna cable to the wire harness.
  6. Make sure that the antenna cable is secured to the harness at least every 150 mm (6 in).

  7. Connect the antenna coaxial cable to the antenna amplifier.
  8. Connect the antenna amplifier cable to the radio extension cable.
  9. Install the passenger hinge pillar trim panel. Refer to Body Hinge Pillar Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  10. Install the right rear side trim to the rear compartment. Refer to Compartment Trim and Cargo Net Replacement - Rear in Body Rear End.
  11. Install the rear window trim panel. Refer to Rear Window Trim Panel Replacement in Body Rear End.
  12. Install the upper rear quarter trim finish panels. Refer to Rear Quarter Upper Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
