Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the center pillar trim. Refer to Center Pillar Upper Trim Panel Replacement
  2. Remove the rear assist handle and coat hook. Refer to Assist Handle and Rear Coat Hook Replacement
  3. Remove the roof rail courtesy reading lamp. Refer to Roof Side Rail Lamp Replacement in Lighting System.
  4. Remove the bolt from the rear seat shoulder height adjuster. Refer to Rear Seat Shoulder Belt Guide Adjuster Replacement in Seat Belts.
  5. Remove the screws covers.
  6. Remove the two screws from the rear quarter trim finish panel.
  7. Remove the rear quarter trim finish panel.
  8. Pull back on the rear quarter trim finish panel in order to release the clips on the backside.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the rear quarter trim finish panel.
  2. Push in on the rear quarter trim finish panel in order to insert clips.

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the two screws to the rear quarter trim finish panel .
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the rear quarter trim finish panel screw until fully seated and not stripped.

  5. Install the screw covers.
  6. Install the bolt to the rear seat shoulder height adjuster. Refer to Rear Seat Shoulder Belt Guide Adjuster Replacement in Seat Belts.
  7. Install the roof rail courtesy reading lamp. Refer to Roof Side Rail Lamp Replacement in Lighting System.
  8. Install the rear assist handle and coat hook. Refer to Assist Handle and Rear Coat Hook Replacement
  9. Install the center pillar trim. Refer to Center Pillar Upper Trim Panel Replacement
