Was the Radio/Audio System Diagnostic System Check performed?

  1. Disconnect the radio connector.
  2. Use the DMM to measure the voltage between terminal F1 of the radio connector and a known good ground.

Is the measured voltage within the specified value?

B+

Go to Step 4

  1. Locate an open or a high resistance in circuit A52.
  2. Repair the open or the high resistance in circuit A52.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 7

  1. Use the DMM to measure the resistance between terminal E16 and a known good ground.
  2. Use the DMM to measure the resistance between terminal F5 and a known good ground.

Is the measured resistance for both measurements within the specified value?

Less than 5 ohms

Go to Step 6

  1. Locate an open or a high resistance in circuits F49 and/or F40.
  2. Repair the open or the high resistance in circuits F49 and/or F40.

Is the repair complete?

Replace the radio. Refer to Radio Replacement in Entertainment.

  1. Connect all connectors and components that were disconnected.
  2. Verify that the radio controls operate properly.

Do the radio controls operate properly?
