Removal Procedure

    Caution: Disconnect the power window switch when working inside the driver door. When operated, the Express Up/Down Feature allows the door window to move very quickly, without stopping, which could cause personal injury.

  1. Disable the SIR system If equipped with the SIR side impact system. Refer to Disabling the SIR System in Restraints.
  2. Remove the front door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
  3. Remove the front door water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  4. Remove the Inflatable restraint side impact sensor mounting plate if equipped. Refer to SIR Sensor Mounting Plate Replacement - Front Door .
  5. Remove the front door inner belt sealing strip. Refer to Front Side Door Window Belt Inner Sealing Strip Replacement .
  6. Remove the outside rearview mirror. Refer to Power Mirror Replacement .
  7. Remove front door outer belt sealing strip. Refer to Front Side Door Window Belt Outer Sealing Strip Replacement .
  8. Remove the window weatherstrip. Refer to Front Side Door Window Weatherstrip Replacement .

  9. Remove the radio front side door speaker screws (1).
  10. Remove the front side door speaker.
  11. Disconnect the speaker connector.

    12. Object Number: 243547 Size: SH
  12. Remove the front door lower channel bolts.
  13. Remove the front door lower channel through the top of the door.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 243547 Size: SH
  1. Install the front door lower channel through the top of the door frame.

    2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  2. Install the front door lower channel bolts.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the door window lower channel bolts to 7 N·m (62 lb in).

  3. Connect the speaker connector.
  4. Install the speaker to the door.
  5. Install the speaker screws (1) until fully seated and not stripped.
  6. Install the window weatherstrip. Refer to Front Side Door Window Weatherstrip Replacement .
  7. Install front door outer belt sealing strip. Refer to Front Side Door Window Belt Outer Sealing Strip Replacement .
  8. Install the outside rearview mirror. Refer to Power Mirror Replacement .
  9. Install the front door inner belt sealing strip. Refer to Front Side Door Window Belt Inner Sealing Strip Replacement .
  10. Install the Inflatable restraint side impact sensor mounting plate if equipped. Refer to SIR Sensor Mounting Plate Replacement - Front Door .
  11. Install the front door water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  12. Install front door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
  13. Remove tape from the window.
  14. Enable SIR system If equipped with SIR side impact system. Refer to Enabling the SIR System in Restraints.
