Driver or Passenger Seat Back Cushion Cover and Pad Replacement Buick

Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the seat. Refer to Seat Replacement .
  2. Remove the seat back. Refer to Front Seat Back Replacement .
  3. Remove the head restraint. Refer to Front Seat Head Restraint Replacement .

    4. Object Number: 287836 Size: SH
  4. Disconnect the fasteners to the seat back hinge assembly.
  5. Remove the seat back (3).

    6. Object Number: 287839 Size: SH
  6. Disengage the retainer  (1) at the bottom of the seat back cover.
  7. Disengage the fasteners from the seat back cover as the cover is being lifted.
  8. Separate the seat back cover from the cushion.

    9. Object Number: 287836 Size: SH
  9. Disengage the head restraint guides (1).
  10. Remove the cover  (3) and the cushion (4).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 287836 Size: SH
  1. Install the cushion (4) onto the seat back frame (5).
  2. Install the seat back cover (3).
  3. Install the seat back cover fasteners.
  4. Engage the head restraint guides (1).
  5. Install the head restraint (2). Refer to Front Seat Head Restraint Replacement .

    6. Object Number: 287839 Size: SH
  6. Engage the retainer (1) at the bottom of the seat back cover.

    7. Object Number: 287836 Size: SH
  7. Connect the fasteners to the seat back (5) hinge assembly.
  8. Install the seat back. Refer to Front Seat Back Replacement .
  9. Install the seat. Refer to Seat Replacement .

Driver or Passenger Seat Back Cushion Cover and Pad Replacement Oldsmobile

Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the seat. Refer to Seat Replacement .
  2. Remove the seat back. Refer to Front Seat Back Replacement .
  3. Remove the head restraint. Refer to Front Seat Head Restraint Replacement .

    4. Object Number: 287835 Size: SH
  4. Remove the seat back cover to the position of the head restraint (2).
  5. Remove the head restraint guides (1). Refer to Front Seat Head Restraint Replacement .
  6. Remove the seat back cover (3).
  7. Separate the seat back frame (5) from the cushion (4).
  8. Remove the cushion (4).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 287835 Size: SH
  1. Install the cushion (4).
  2. Install the seat back frame (5) to the cushion (4).
  3. Install the seat back cover (3).
  4. Install the head restraint guides (1). Refer to Front Seat Head Restraint Replacement .
  5. Install the seat back cover to the position of the head restraint (2).
  6. Install the head restraint. Refer to Front Seat Head Restraint Replacement .
  7. Install the seat back. Refer to Front Seat Back Replacement .
  8. Install the seat. Refer to Seat Replacement .
