  1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
  2. Ground the memory seat diagnostic connector:
  3. • The connector may be taped into the body harness.
    • The module beeps once in order to acknowledge entrance into the mode 1 diagnostics.
    • If the module does not enter the diagnostic mode, refer to Memory Seats System Check in Seats.
    • Refer to Memory Seat Circuit Description in Seats for a detailed explanation of the memory seat/mirror module diagnostic modes.
  4. Operate the DRIVER-1 and the DRIVER-2 recall buttons and the memory set button on the left seat/lock switch. (The module beeps once for each switch input received.)
  5. Any time a switch is operated and the module does not beep, the module did not receive the input from that switch.

Are there any switch operations where the memory seat/mirror does not beep?

  1. Remove the ground from the memory seat diagnostic connector, then ground the connector again within 5 seconds:
  2. • The module beeps twice in order to acknowledge entrance into the mode 2 diagnostics.
    • Refer to Memory Seat Circuit Description in Seats for a detailed explanation of the memory seat/mirror module diagnostic modes.
  3. Operate the seat switch and the power mirror switch in all directions. (The module beeps once for each open or short circuit to a position sensor or any position sensor discontinuity.)
  4. Any time a switch is operated and the module beeps, the module senses a problem with the position sensor.

Are there any switch operations where the memory seat/mirror module beeps?
