Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 501178  Size: SH
  1. Remove the door. Refer to Door Replacement .
  2. Remove the bolts (3) that retain the hinge (2, 4) to the body.
  3. Remove the hinge from the body.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 501178  Size: SH
  1. Install the hinge (2, 4) to the body.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the hinge bolts.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 48 N·m (36 lb ft).

  5. Install the door to the hinge.
  6. Install the door bolts.
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 48 N·m (36 lb ft).

  8. Inspect the door for proper alignment.
  9. Adjust the door, as necessary.
  10. Complete the following steps:

    6.1. Loosen the bolts.
    6.2. Shift the door.
    6.3. Tighten the bolts.

    Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 48 N·m (36 lb ft).
