Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 649812 Size: SH
  1. Remove the seat back cover. Refer to Front Seat Back Cushion Cover and Cushion Pad Replacement .
  2. Remove the heating element (1) from the seat.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 649812 Size: SH
  1. Install the seat heat element.
    2. 1.1. Remove the paper from the tape that is located on the back of the heat element.
    1.2. Carefully position and press the heat element (1) onto the seat back cushion pad (2).
    1.3. Tuck the narrow connecting strips into the seat back cushion pad trenches.

  2. Insert the seat heat element harness (3) between the seat cushion (4) and the adjuster assembly (5).

    3. Object Number: 649820 Size: SH
  3. Connect the seat heat element GREEN electrical connector to the Heat Module GREEN electrical connector.
  4. Cut off all of the old heat element harness (6) from the seat back trim cover.

    5. Important: Ensure the heat element is laying flat with no wrinkles on the seat back cushion pad.

  5. Install the seat back cover. Refer to Front Seat Back Cushion Cover and Cushion Pad Replacement
  6. Ensure the seat heat function is operational.
