Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the head restraint. Refer to Front Seat Head Restraint Replacement .
  2. Remove the seat assembly from the vehicle. Refer to Seat Replacement .

    3. Object Number: 258553 Size: SH
  3. Remove the head restraint support rear cover (6). Use a small flat-bladed tool in order to release the tabs in the cover seam.
  4. Remove seat cushion outer trim panels.
  5. Pull outward on the bottom of the seatback trim cover (7) in order to release the 2 retainers.
  6. Pull upward on the seatback trim cover (7) in order to disengage the cover from the seatback frame (12).

    7. Important: Do not damage the finish on the trim cover.

  7. Carefully work the trim cover up over the head restraint support.
  8. Rest the trim cover (7) on the back of the front seat while you perform service on the seat.
  9. Remove the lap belt retractor and the front trim cover (2) before you replace the seatback trim cover (7).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 258553 Size: SH

    Important: Ensure that the retainer clips are in place on the tabs before you install the trim cover.

  1. Carefully work the trim cover (7) over the head rest support.
  2. Slide the trim cover downward, pushing inward on the cover in order to engage the side retainers.
  3. Align the 2 lower tabs into the slots.

    4. Press the tabs into place.

  4. Install outer seat cushion trim panels.
  5. Install the head restraint support rear cover (6).
  6. Install the seat assembly into the vehicle. Refer to Seat Replacement .
  7. Install the head restraint. Refer to Front Seat Head Restraint Replacement .
