1. Use a test lamp in order to backprobe the seat switch connector from the appropriate cavity to ground:

•	Left: cavity F (YEL)

•	Right: cavity D (YEL)

2. Move the appropriate rear vertical switch to the UP position.

Does the test lamp light?

1. Use a test lamp in order to backprobe the seat switch connector from the appropriate cavity to ground:

•	Left: cavity C (LT BLU)

•	Right: cavity H (LT BLU)

2. Move the rear vertical switch to the DOWN position.

Does the test lamp light?

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 4

Replace the suspect seat switch. Refer to Power Seat Switch Replacement .

Is the seat switch replacement complete?

Go to Step 10

1. Use a test lamp in order to backprobe the appropriate seat rear vertical motor connector from cavity A (YEL) to ground.
2. Move the rear vertical switch to the UP position.

Does the test lamp light?

--

Go to Step 6

Go to Step 8

1. Use a test lamp in order to backprobe the appropriate seat rear vertical motor connector from cavity B (LT BLU) to ground.
2. Move the rear vertical switch to the DOWN position.

Does the test lamp light?

Go to Step 7

Go to Step 9

Replace the suspect seat rear vertical motor. Refer to Front Seat Adjuster Motor Replacement .

Is the seat rear vertical motor replacement complete?

Go to Step 10

Repair the open in the appropriate circuit:

Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?
