1. Use a test lamp in order to backprobe the seat switch connector from the appropriate cavity to ground:

•	Left: cavity B (LT GRN)

•	Right: cavity C (LT GRN)

2. Move the appropriate forward/back switch to the BACK position.

Does the test lamp light?

Go to Step 3

1. Use a test lamp in order to backprobe the seat switch connector from the appropriate cavity to ground:

•	Left: cavity E (TAN)

•	Right: cavity F (TAN)

2. Move the forward/back switch to the FORWARD position.

Does the test lamp light?

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 4

Replace the suspect seat switch. Refer to Power Seat Switch Replacement .

Is the seat switch replacement complete?

Go to Step 10

1. Use a test lamp in order to backprobe the appropriate seat horizontal motor connector from cavity B (LT GRN) to ground.
2. Move the forward/back switch to the BACK position.

Does the test lamp light?

--

Go to Step 6

1. Use a test lamp in order to backprobe the appropriate seat horizontal motor connector from cavity A (TAN) to ground.
2. Move the forward/back switch to the FORWARD position.

Does the test lamp light?

Go to Step 7

Go to Step 9

Replace the suspect seat horizontal motor. Refer to Front Seat Adjuster Motor Replacement .

Is the seat horizontal motor replacement complete?

Go to Step 10

Repair the open in the appropriate circuit:

Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?
