Removal Procedure
- Place the door glass in the full-up position.
- Remove the trim panel. Refer to
Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement
.
- Remove the water deflector. Refer to
Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement
.
- Using a marker, draw a line on the glass across the header.
- Connect the power window switch.
- Lower the window approximately 50 mm (2 in).
- Disconnect the power window switch.
- Visually inspect the parallelism of the line to the header.
- Adjust the inner panel, if required.
- Loosen the cam
adjusting screw (1).
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Adjust the door
window parallel to the header.
Tighten
Tighten the screw to 9 N·m (72 lb in).
- Inspect the window operation.
