Cell 147: Left Outside Power Mirror
.
The left front power window switch receives inputs from the memory function switch. When you press the MEMORY-2 switch, the left front power window switch recognizes the input and sends a message on the simple bus interface (SBI) to the driver door module (DDM).
The message indicates that the left front power window switch received a memory recall input. The DDM then relays the message through the class 2 serial data line to the memory seat module (MSM).
• | DTC DDM B2241 sets when the MEMORY-2 switch is active for 30 seconds continuously. The switch is shorted. |
• | DTC DDM B2241 will not set if the following DTCs are current: |
- | DTC DDM B1982 |
- | DTC DDM B1983 |
• | The DDM will not respond to inputs from the shorted memory function switch. |
• | The DDM will continue to respond to valid inputs from the other memory function switches. |
• | This DTC will set from current to history when the Memory-2 switch input cycles OFF or the power mode changes from OFF to RUN. |
• | The history DTC will clear after 50 consecutive ignition cycles. |
• | Use a scan tool in order to clear the history DTC. |
• | The scan tool can be selected to monitor DMM inputs and outputs as well as view DTCs. |
• | A history DTC is evidence of a intermittent condition. |
The number(s) below refer to the step number(s) on the diagnostic table.
This step determines if there is a stuck switch in the wiring input to the left front power window switch. The DTC will set again if there is a short in the wiring or there is an internal left front power window switch problem. The DTC will not set again if there is a stuck switch because the switch is disconnected from the left front power window switch.
This step determines if there is a short in the input wiring to the left front power window switch.
